At Kalehurst we saw the potential of Husqvarna Automowers as far back as 2001 when we installed our first Automower. Although the market in Europe has boomed for Automowers since that time with over 1.5 million sold, the UK has been slow to accept Automowers. This has changed in the last 3 years as this sort of technology has become a part of our daily lives. Now we are one of the most experienced installers in the UK and have invested in training and specialist workshop equipment for the service, diagnosis and repair of your Automower to keep it cutting daily throughout the season.

A survey of your garden can be carried out at our Hermitage showroom using satellite imagery, usually we will be able to give you a fixed price for supply and installation at that time. A free on site visit can be arranged for more complex or multiple installations.

Full installation and commissioning service.Once we have confirmed that a Husqvarna Automower is suitable for your garden we will arrange a convenient time to install your Automower. Once installed we will run you through the operation of the Automowers settings and set up the connect app if equipped. From this point on the mower is Automatic so when you are on holiday your lawn still gets cut whatever the weather.
What is involved in the installation
Normally taking between 2 and 4 hours we will bury a boundary wire around your lawn and any obstructions, the two ends of the cable will be connected to a charging station creating a loop for the Automower to work within.
Guide wires will be buried from the charging station across the lawn through any narrow corridors to help the Automower find its way back to recharge.
The charging station is then plugged into a standard 3 pin outdoor electrical supply.
Once installed we will set up the security settings, geofence, timer and connect app if fitted.
What to expect from Automower after installationAfter Installation there maybe a small line visible where we have buried the boundary wire, this will grow over very quickly. Most customers report within 1 - 2 weeks the lawn looks a lot smoother this is due to the small wheelbase and random cut pattern, within the first 1 -3 months the lawn starts to look a lot greener due to the healthier daily cutting (dependent on growing conditions) and within 2 - 3 seasons the moss will be seriously reduced or even gone. As your lawn is now being looked after by the Automower you are free to get on with other tasks around the property, enjoy more time with the family or go away at weekends.
